Breathing

    Usually we are not aware of our breathing, yet we are always doing it. This happens because breathing has a very special characteristic: it can be either regulated involuntarily or voluntarily, providing a way of consciously managing processes usually of an unconscious nature. The significance and importance of breathing has been explored since ancient times. Traditions such as Yoga and Chi Kung preserve many teachings about breathing. Today’s integrative medicine also gives a special place to breath work.
